Dr. Eduardo Mora-Donato, a mathematician and finance professional, was born in Mexico City in 1967. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), where he graduated in 1995, and earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics from New York University’s Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences in 2003.
With a career that bridges academia and finance, Eduardo has held key leadership roles, including Quantitative Portfolio Manager at a hedge fund, Head of Quantitative Research for a major pension fund, and Head of Fixed Income and Rates at a leading Latin American asset manager. His work is characterized by a commitment to integrating mathematical precision with strategic financial management.
In addition to his financial expertise, Eduardo is a passionate educator who has taught mathematics at universities in Mexico and the United States, including recent positions at CSU Channel Islands and California Lutheran University. His ability to communicate complex concepts has inspired countless students.
Eduardo relocated to Thousand Oaks, California, with his family in 2018 after years of living and working in New York City and Mexico City. His diverse background in academic and practical finance allows him to thrive in multifaceted professional landscapes.
